"Good meals"

Large pub and hotel with traditional decor. Given a table for two and menus and drinks orders taken quickly. We both had the cheese soufflé to start which was delicious and then the sirloin steak in an excellent mushroom sauce with triple cooked chips and a burger. The mains were tasty if not as good as the starter. Service was excellent: well paced and very friendly. Bill, with a 25% discount on food was £70 including a G&T and two apple juices.

Quirky room, comfortable, quiet and clean.

Parking wasn't available on site as always full. Restaurant was too busy to bit on arrival and we hadn't booked in advance.
