GBGBWe stayed in a family room which was of a good size (generally larger than other similar hotels) and with everything we needed. The hotel was functional with a good location for us near the motorway, so overall very convenient for a short stay.
In general everything was good, but some very minor issue with something that we needed it in the room.

Immediate staff (man) at reception was rude and nasty checking in, made us feel very unwelcome, also personal hygiene wasn’t great. Park was great for kids outside but grass was very overgrown and very neglected Inside play area was disgusting, wouldn’t allow kids to play in there Extremely overpriced food and drink considering there is competition next door Menu is very strict. Wanted a garlic bread with cheese which is already on the menu, and wanted to add extra toppings which we were told wasn’t allowed so instead of having an already overpriced £18 they got £0
GBHotel is very welcoming and all staff were lovely and helpful. This is the hotels best quality- its fantastic employees. The reception and eating areas are pleasant too.
Unfortunately the toliot in room was non flushing! However it was fixed immediately. Sadly no air conditioning as it was broken on the hottest night of the year. Hotel is rather tired and requires touch ups but it is still a pretty decent budget hotel.
