Nothing I didn’t get to stay when I turned up the sai they was fully booked and never got a refund

We stay at this hotel mainly because it is very dog-friendly, with plenty of space in the room; and large grounds for “walkies”. It is not a luxury hotel but provides convenience in the form of all-day menus and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet has plenty of choice but is nothing special; convenience and value rather than premium features. There is plenty of parking and EV charging, which is of both the rapid and overnight versions - reasonably priced. We used to live very close by and were members of the pool/leisure complex, which makes a stay at the hotel very good value. Well located for all of West Yorkshire.

I have scored it 5/5 mainly because of the balcony & nice grounds. I feel it was a little scruffy / outdated in some areas, with the central outside courtyard clearly not being cleaned from previous night (saw a rat). Rooms fairly soundproof, although like most hotels it really could do with soft-closing doors. No lift here so it was ‘interesting’ getting a case up the stairs with not a wiff of an offer of help, although staff were friendly. Breakfast & evening meal both excellent. Comfortable beds too. Clean rooms & really good hot drink selection - fingers of fudge appreciated & a nice touch. Would stay again.
