Fairfield by Marriott Kalamazoo West

This hotel was just fine. There was nothing memorable about it, either positive or negative.

There were kids running up and down the halls, slamming doors, yelling and parents being noisy as well. This was both nights we stayed, til past midnight. Took my 5 year old to the pool and it was a s**t show, a ton of kids just belly flopping into the pool splasing as much as possible. I got my kid out after just a couple minutes because these nasty kids were jumping right next to her head, parents just letting it happen. The breakfast area was trashed almost immediately, people leaving huge messes on every surface. Overall, nearly every guest we encountered was disrespectful to both staff and other guests, and the hotel needs to hire more staff to be able to deal with these trashy guests. Oh, and there was blood on the floor in the elevator. I watched an employee use the elevator and pretend it wasn't there. We will be avoiding this place like the plague, probably avoiding the general area tbh.

Nice hotel very clean & friendly staff

The room was pretty clean but there were items left in the room from previous tenants. The walls are thin so I could hear the neighbors very easily. The halls smelled of marijuana.

Firstly they charged my Visa AND expedia so i paid twice. They saidbthey refunded me but my bank disagrees and they would know sooo.. The staff were great The breakfast the second morning was great but the third and worth werent good. I came during a snow storm so the tv didnt work and they did not maintain their parking lot snow wise. I appreciate that it was a crazy storm and i accept whzt comes with that
