Fairfield by Marriott Kalamazoo West

Quiet, clean, fairly reasonable. Was a great place to stop and rest during out road trip.

The pool and the gym really need a facelift, but we weren't there for that. TNT breakfast was just ok and was like every other hotel I've been to. The front desk host, Pam, was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Coffee and tea available throughout the day. Rooms were clean. shampoo, conditioner, and body wash already in the shower, but I still bought my own. I would definitely stay here again.

Very relaxing

The customer service upon arrival/checkin was awesome. The more matured lady was extremely nice and had amazing customer service. However, once we were in our room, I realized I needed to not only disinfect the room with lysol BUT also clean the shower head and thorougly wipe down the shower corners as they were dirty as well. The walls in the bathroom were discolored which indicated that these rooms were extremely old. The inside of the toilet was dirty. The bathroom floor needed to be swept as well. The plumbing had its challenges too, as we couldn't run the water to long while brushing our teeth because it backed up very quickly. My daughter slept on top of the cover because she felt like the bedding was not as clean. The lighting in the room was dark, the light shades were dirty, the window seal was dirty, the microwave was broke :-/. The bed provided a few comfortable nights of rest, so I'm thankful for that, however the overall experience just wasn't up to par at all. I was extremely disappointed.

We did a two-night stay with friends and kids for a sports camp. Upon check-in the area around the hotel is poorly maintained and overrun with grass and weeds. Pamela was VERY kind and check in was great. The rooms were very old and could use an upgrade, my room 309, the outlets on the wall under the thermostat did not work nor did the outlets on the nightstand, which was very inconvenient for charging my phone and electronics. The shower had poor drainage as well. The area by the microwave and fridge were very dusty. Overall the hotel could use an overhaul and the gentleman at the front desk when i asked about a late check out for my friend and I was not very accommodating and I know this hotel will never be at full capacity so to allow one extra hour for two rooms did not seem like a big ask.

Good location! Easy access to two major expressways. Property is clean and breakfast is excellent.

The food was horrible and staff was disrespectful.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was amazing. It is also located right across the road from where I needed to be for the 3 days.
