Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Helena

It’s extremely outdated you could hear every noise and we did have a gentleman that was below us that complained about my children after we walked in the room for about two minutes. The pool was extremely freezing, and the hot tub was also broken. The morning staff was great, but the staff that was there in the evening was not so friendly.

The pool was way too cold for season. It was like taking an ice bath. The hot tub didn’t work, and that was not noted until after check-in. The rooms are outdated. There was no counters pace for the bathroom in the walls and everything were so thin that you could hear everything, Door, slamming in the hallway, people walking up and down the hallway.

Good location and friendly staff. I loved the size and setup of my room.

There was an issue while checking in and out with the system saying I owed money when it had been paid in full when booked. The beds were HORRIBLY uncomfortable. The internet was extremely slow and kept disconnecting. Twice I got ice out of the ice machine that had something black in it, unsure if it was plastic or mold.

Stayed for a couple days Labour Day weekend. Price was good, hotel was clean, comfortable room, staff we encountered were friendly, and the breakfast was very good. We would have liked to be closer to the downtown area but with our vehicle loaded with kayaks, overall it did feel safer parking here overnight. Lots to see and do in the area, will return and stay longer.

Hotel was average nothing special nor outstanding. Had issue with check-in as I booked 2 rooms and when we entered in of of the rooms assigned, the room was still occupied with luggage inside, fortunately the owners were not in and would have been a lot of explanation to the other guests. In 2nd room, the problem was the wifi connection. Room was in 3rd floor, 2nd room from the end and wifi barely accessible. We could connect to the wifi but that was all as it was so slow in the area that it would not even load the Marriott website. We had to walk towards the elevator or stay in the lobby to check emails or search for something around the area. We just bought esim to have data and access internet in our room. The hotel need to add boosters to have the end rooms get access to the internet. Looks like the next hotel has stronger signal that reaches our room.

Piece of candy stuck to a pillowcase on my bed. Did the maid even change them. Terribly off-putting. Breakfast staff very accomodating.
