Fairfield Inn Jacksonville Orange Park

It was close to where I needed to be.

The elevator made a terrible noise when going down. It felt like a wire snapped every time. Kind of scary!

I will reiterate the last few reviews. I would never stay here again in its current condition!! It needs a renovation now or to be unbranded by Marriott. Outside security door broken or always propped open over several weeks, mildew smell all over, breakfast is super limited and looks like 89’s decor inside. Staff was nice though. Stay at the COURTYARD across the street instead!!!

Way overpriced, absolutely not worth $200/night. The tub was badly clogged, the shower curtain rod was broken and barely in the wall, the curtain hooks and shower head were badly rusted and corroded, there was mold growing around the fire sprinkler in the ceiling, we needed to use the pull out couch and that mattress was not made up with sheets and looked like a crime scene it was so filthy. There was a weird smell in the hallways and the elevator felt like a theme park wide. There are 2-3 other hotels across the street and behind this one, try those instead. Don’t stay here!!

Well, it definitely ranks as the worst Fairfield I’ve been to, reminds me of a motel six, I’m a titanium Marriott member and was expecting a little bit higher standards, but apparently Marriott doesn’t really care about this property. My recommendation is not to stay here.

The overall property was in poor condition. The hotel needs a remodel. My room was clean but the bathrooms need to be gutted and start over. Floors and carpet are worn with cracked tiles In The bathroom. They had issues with their wifi for most of the weekend. This hotel just needs a facelift.

The breakfast and staff were excellent

I asked for 2 extra bath towels for the room. Asking the front desk clerk, did not help matters - very rude. He told me to bring him the two towels in my room, I would get two more! Really? Are they that so unfocused on good customer service? The breakfast food looked like they took a semi-circle omelet and cut it in two - not sure how many times it was reused. No orange juice Coffee was tepid, like bath water. The elevator made a clanging sound when it when from 1st to 2nd floor. Running water in the bathroom had a sewer smell. No stopper in the bathroom sink. Chipped wooden toilet seat. I then decided to end my stay at 2 nights, not the original 6. I was charged $128. for "incidentals" - for which that same desk clerk could not provide an explanation. And, another 3rd night charge was added due to 'early checkout"!. Why does Marriott allow this property to be included in their portfolio? Lastly, the night after I checked out, a mysterious charge of $20.88 appeared on my VISA. The payee was "Kenicia Butler", via PAYPAL. I DO NOT, and NEVER have used any PAYPAL to buy ANYTHING. When I called PAYPAL, they said someone named Jessica Fourcault bought something from Kenicia Butler - but they had no information as to what was purchased. I strongly suspect this charge due to fraudulent, criminal misuse of my CC by an employee of the Fairfield Inn.
