Holiday Inn Rock Island-Quad Cities by IHG

I had a reservation for two queens and was switched to a King. So I had to sleep on a cot. They called it an "upgrade." I explained that being forced to sleep on a cot is in fact not an upgrade.

It was near the river and dam.

No complimentary breakfast - for a hundred sixty bucks a night, I expected at least a banana in the morning.

Nasty dirty gross!!!!!! I am currently stuck here for a softball tournament. The surrounding area is nasty, walked into my room and the toilet had been used and not flushed. It’s very clear nobody used a vacuuum in here as there are leaves and garbage on the floor, and the tops of the counters and tables are sticky with visible signs that they had not been wiped down during “cleaning”. Nope…..never again!

Location was nice, staff was very friendly

The staff and location were excellent.

The hotel smelled bad when you walk in. The carpets were musty and the floor leading to the restaurant was sticky. Maybe if the carpets and floors were cleaned it would smell better.

Surrounding area didn't seem to be safe.

Room smells of cigarettes when a/c turns on.

Location was great. Cute little downtown

I spent two nights here. The staff was fairly friendly although check in wasn’t rapid. The elevator situation was terrible as it took forever to get one. The breakfast was fairly adequate. There is a pool. The location isn’t the best. It’s on the Illinois side of the river and nothing else is.
