Doubletree by Hilton Harrisonburg

The location was very convenient and the layout of the hotel is nice

Our room smelled like cigarettes. The food at the restaurant was horrible and there was only one wait staff on a saturday night. Also after requesting to move rooms, we moved into another room.

Booked about a week in advance for one night (2 queen beds) — total came to nearly $500, which is already outrageous for this area. I chose it because it’s a Hilton and expected a certain standard of quality. Unfortunately, that expectation was completely missed. The room was subpar. The fridge was leaking, leaving the floor wet. The shower door wouldn’t close, so we had to prop a towel against it just to keep it shut while using it. The tub was separating from the wall, and you could practically smell the mold from how long it’s been that way. Throughout the hallways, there were patched holes and scuffed walls, giving it the look and feel of a low-end motel, not a Hilton. The “breakfast” was beyond avg and they charged us for that on top of the $500 room fee. Definitely not up to brand standards. If this room had cost $80, I wouldn’t be writing this. But for $500, it’s unacceptable. And to top it off, they even charge $4.95 for “faster” Wi-Fi. Hilton needs to do a serious quality check on this property. It doesn’t live up to the name at all.

I had a great experience with Dee or Lee ( I couldn’t catch her name!) in the restaurant. She was very hospitable and helpful during breakfast hours. It made for a great finish to my trip!

Very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Parking was safe and secure

Hotel did not have hot water but never notified me.

Relaxation

The indoor pool was cold. I reserved a King size Bed room,and when I got there they said they was over book,and gave me 2 queen size beds. After I reserved and paid. So didnt get what I wanted. Did go swimming, but like I said water was cold!!! Pool not worth it.
