Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Chambersburg

While traveling from VT to SC we wait until we are ready to stop before booking a hotel room. This hotel had a "Good" rating and we had stayed here roughly 10 years ago. The halls have a lot of wall damage and the rooms are in need of TLC. In addition there is a roof mounted light that shown in our window all night, making it as bright as daylight. The blinds do nothing to keep out the bright light.

Loved the size of the shower and good lighting . The room was freshly painted and it was large and comfortable. It would have looked even nicer if paint splatters were cleaned up. The bathroom floor always looked dirty but it was paint. Hallways are in sad condition. Really disliked that it is advertised to come with breakfast and there was none.

They do not have queen beds. They are small double beds. When I complained, they said it’s what they have. They offered a single king bed for 3 people. It was a terrible stay. It felt old and unclean. Water pressure was a trickle. The light switch turned off every outlet in the room. The outlet would not supply sufficient power to turn my fan. The area felt unsecure.I got up at least five times to check my car. The exterior doors did not lock. I tried to contact Hotels.com and was given no response or support. I emailed them and still received no feedback or support.

The hotel and room were easily accessed. The screeching child down the hall was annoying- not the properties fault but I’m sure others were not pleased also.

Very clean and comfortable will return

Room was dirty with fresh cigarette ash burns on the comforter. Chair in the room was stained with who knows what. The hotel is remodeled around the doors and the bathtubs from 1980. Back door to the hotel was not locked it was just hanging open. Carpets out in hallways and other public areas were dirty and stained. We actually left before we completed our two night stay (which I didn't even get a refund for) but didn't care.

A little more attention to detail with cleaning would be nice, our freezer was never defrosted and had food in it. And the drawers had debris. Otherwise it was a nice hotel and would stay again.

It was decent

I am staying at the Clarion for the next few months. The rooms are large and the Kitchenette has a Fridge with a Freezer. The staff are very customer focused and try their best to assist with any of my needs.

Horrible service. I had a reservation from July 5th to July11th and I had an emergency and I had to leave on July 07th. Hotel is refusing to do my reimbursement. I really don’t recommend. Dishonesty beyond words. When I got there they changed my room because eu fi was not working saying no extra fees would be charges and I ended up paying for extra four nights.
