Redworth Hall Hotel

After a late arrival we were informed that the pool, sauna, steam room and gym were all still open which was a nice welcome after a long drive. We followed this by a drink in the bar area, service was noticeably stretched this particular evening due to a wedding party (possibly two), and an 80th birthday celebration meaning tables were not getting cleared and bar service was slow. However, the hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and rooms very nice, although the shower in our room, 411, requires attention. Overall, we’re very much enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Lovely place and the spa and pool area is great. On check in the gentleman asked if we had stayed before, which we hadn't, he gave us a 4th floor room and my mam had a walking stick with her. He didnt give us any direction to find our room. I had to ask him and also asked, if there was an accessible lift. We were informed about breakfast times but not given any direction of where this was.was We stayed when a wedding was taking place and were unfortunately stuck next door to teenaged bridesmaid who were running amok swearing slamming doors shouting just very unruly and left to their own devices. Even in the pool area they were dive bombing splashing people. Wouldnt advise staying when events are on if you want some R&R. Other than the above I would stay again but on a different day definitely not lt Saturday. on

First time coming to redworth hall and got to say we really enjoyed it, we would definitely recommend coming here and we are going to book up again. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub, staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy. We stayed in the deluxe house room which was so spacious and we were amazed by how nice it was, the bath was the best bit very spacious bath and was so relaxing. Only downfall we had was the service at the pool bar we waited ages for someone to acknowledge we were there then when they did they told us they would serve us in a few minutes, 10 minutes later no one came to serve us so we ended up going to the bar downstairs as we were so thirsty after coming from the pool and couldn’t wait any longer. We dined at the restraint on the night time and we got steak it was really nice couldn’t fault it, they do try add service charge but we refused to pay it as you don’t have too. Also the breakfast on the morning was absolutely amazing, loads to choose from and it was so fresh and tasty. Overall we have a brilliant stay and looking forward to returning.

Very happy with our stay. Staff were very helpful and the family room was very spacious. We will have no hesitation in rebooking the next time we are in the area. If I was to highlight one negative it would be the temperature in the spa changing rooms. It was noticeably very cold when leaving the spa area to enter the changing rooms.

I would like to have given 5 star for service as when we ordered food from the bar the staff were attentive, polite and very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. However earlier in the evening I called the restaurant from the room to book a table, when I had only said hello I was met with a very abrupt ‘the line is terrible’ to which I stated ‘I’m sorry I’m calling from one of the phones in the rooms’. I then proceeded to request a table and again very abruptly told we have nothing until 8.30/8.45. I really felt like it was too much trouble and didn’t feel welcomed at all. I booked the table initially for 6 people, we were I fact part of a lager group of around 20 people staying at the hotel for an event we were attending the next day. Having spoke to the other people in the party we decided against it and ate from the bar instead. I would not recommend anyone to book to dine at the restaurant based on this encounter. Also may I add that most of the tables were not occupied from around 7pm until the time we were told we could eat from so I don’t understand why we couldn’t get a reservation either. Very disappointing experience.

We had a spa room and the spa shower didn't work. The air conditioning control didn't work either, the room was too hot. Had the duty manager and the maintenance man in our room to try to sort the issues but in the end the duty manager had to move us to another room so we had to repack everything.

Stopped here on the way home for an evening. Reception staff gave a nice greeting. Walk to room seemed like miles and was awkward due to being based in the "old building part". Up and down small staircases which were poorly carpeted and loose. Tripped twice. Hit my head on low level ceiling part as well. Room was nice looking but too warm due to fixed "on" radiator you cant switch off. Floorboards were very loose and creaky throughout. Mattress comfy. Restaurant nice and food good. Breakfast was particularly good value buffet style. Breakfast staff a mixture of grumpy and nice. Reception girl on leaving very nice and smiley which was good. Building nice looking externally. Main car park a fair walk on slight up hill. Nasty in the rain. Car covered in sap, tree debris and bird droppings on return. Never had this in my hundreds of hotel stays anywhere. Nightmare to clean off. Be wary. Hotel has great potential but needs points attended to in my humble opinion. Sorry my review seems a bit negative but feel it could be great with minimal efforts. Litter in entrance area and car park needs addressing - otherwise a nice hotel

Good stop over, fantastic breakfast, great to have use of gym / pool.
