Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel

The location is convenient for us and it is near several supermarkets and fastfood places. The staff are very accommodating and approachable. The hotel looks nice (especially the garden) and the pool and gym added to the charm. One of the lights was off in our room and they immediately sent someone to fix it which we really appreciated.

The walls are too thin that we could hear the conversation of the people next door - clearly. Our dogs, who are nervous rescues, are always bothered by the noise. Maybe if it was just us without the dogs, the hotel is a good place to stay. Also, I requested for new coffee mugs from the housekeeper and she told me to just wash them in the bathroom sink which is a little weird as we stayed for 6 nights. We did it initially but the hand wash soap wasn’t doing the job properly so my husband would go to the reception to request for new ones.

The restaurant,morning breakfast was delicious and the place was run by two wonderful ladies Nicola and Linda who just looked after us like we were royalty just couldn’t do enough for us Thank you so much.

Bathroom dated and I need of a refurbishment My starter for dinner - chorizo and prawns, came with very few prawns and chorizo and 4 pieces of bread but no butter. Very carb heavy. Pizza came on a plate that was plastic so made pizza really difficult cut as the pizza slide on the plate! Could have done with a pizza cutter or sharper knife to cut it with

Staff were so kind to us. Lovely lady serving breakfast on June 1st morning was so sweet and attentive. Bed was so comfortable, an excellent night of sleep. The junior suite was large and spacious.

Nothing, this was the perfect honeymoon night

Big room. Comfortable. Good tea coffee etc in room. Nice toiletries.

The pool was only open till 6 on Sunday which meant we couldn’t make use of it. There should be electric sockets by the bed! Phones are used as alarms/clocks. No use at other side of room.
