Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel

We went to a gala ball so stayed at the hotel. The rooms are clean and nice. We love the location and enjoyed the bar area. We used the pool and spa. Plenty of free parking too. The food was delicious.

The reception is very tired, the entrance dated and needs an overhaul to make it more welcoming. The pool area really needed a revamp it's looking very tired in the changing rooms and pool areas. Strange pongy smell at the reception entrance lift smelled like sewage.

Cheap and cheerful. Clean and friendly staff.

Spa/Pool. Lucky to have pool to myself during visit. Nice view from room. Appreciate a bath tub. Nice Breakfast.

Drinks Prices.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. They made the experience/stay almost worth it. The gym had most things you need for a good workout.

The hotel itself looked tired. My bed/matress was the old fashioned spring type. Which was too weak. The shower in my room didn’t work very well.

The room wasn't very clean Hated the wash room Sink had only hot water coming out and no cold water The room had a bit of bad smell. The bathroom and room could use some updating

It was available at short notice and the central reception areas are nicely decorated with fresh light green paint.

The shower temperature control was broken and this meant you were either scalded or very cold. The bathroom joins ( caulking) degraded and hence cannot be clean. They are brown and black and even have gaps. Carpets look tired as does the furniture.
