Hampton Inn Binghamton/Johnson City

Exelente desayuno, todo muy limpio y siempre te reciben con una sonrisa

This is a lower end Hampton Inn. It worked for what we needed but it definitely needed updated. The bathroom smelled of mold and the beds were pretty low to the ground. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. I did feel safe in the area. I was also disappointed to not see a hot tub but with the temperature of the pool, it was its own hot tub! It was so warm!

my room key card did not operate on check-in. The night manager gave me a token pass key that did work, and I had no further issues. I spoke with maintenance the next day and he said the issue was power outages. The electric locks all have batteries that should function in a power outage, but the loss of power reset the timing function in the locks. So, the key card could activate the green access light on the lock but still not open the door. I enjoy coming to this hotel and have never encountered this technical issue before. Please update the electronic door lock software if necessary or get a generator to ensure no more timing failures.

The hotel met the basic requirements. It provided a bed and breakfast. However, it did feel like the hotel was a little rundown. The elevator smelled a little. Hot water wasn’t out when we arrived around 4:30pm.

The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful.

I think someone had been given the room prior to us and swapped rooms. There was a hair on the toilet seat, the soap was out but looked unused and a face cloth was on the sink unfolded. We were exhausted from a long drive and it was late so we did not ask for a new room. The rest of the room was clean.

The property itself was nice, the room was clean and continental breakfast selection was very decent. The reason I am giving it a bad rating is because we had a very unpleasant check in experience. I booked 2 rooms through Expedia, however once we arrived we were told that only 1 room was available. Not exactly sure what happened with our reservation. The front desk person was extremely unprofessional and overall rude. He basically told us in a very mean way that I have to call and deal with expedia and that he cannot help us even though I had my confirmation number where it clearly stated 2 room reservation. It was late evening and I had an elderly parent and two kids. He was not sympathetic or accommodating. I get it, things happen, but he showed zero sympathy. I got mad at him and when I raised my voice he threatened me and almost kicked us out. We ended up taking just that 1 room as it was already late and we managed through the night. But this guy left a very unpleasant taste.

Front desk clerk looked and acted unprofessionally.

Staff attitudes and stating room was not available any sooner then 3pm maybe even 330and when I got to the room the room was not clean properly significant amount of dust on furniture. There was no way that room was recently used much less cleaned.

Grandkids loved the pool and breakfast options too
