Bayside Hotel of Mackinac

Conveniently located

The shower had no hot water, the room was run down, and it was very noisy.

We picked this place due to the location and price. It was great being able to walk across the street to access the ferry to Mackinaw Island. Budget friendly option. And about a 5 minute drive to downtown.

The description said there was beach access. It advertised as having a water park. I didn't realize until after getting there, that these amenities were shared with neighboring hotels. We checked out both locations but did not really suit what we were looking for. So this was a bit of a let down. Our room was clean overall. Our window looked out at the building next door so very little natural light. The carpet had some spots. The bathroom fan did not work, and we couldn't figure out the hot water until the second day (you had to jiggle the handle). There was no iron. But for the price and the little time we spent in the room, it met our needs.

The coffee pot in my room was missing the piece that held the coffee in so I couldn't make any coffee in the morning
