Location is amazing, right by the center, easy to go everywhere

It felt dirty and toilet was super tiny. Staff was difficult to reach sometimes

The host was friendly, the location was in the centre of town.

We booked the ‘deluxe room’ with a private bathroom and unfortunately the bathroom was very unclean when we arrived, there was lots of hair in the shower and all over the floor and the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned after the last guests. When this was raised with the host and asked him to clean the bathroom he kindly removed some of the hair from the shower however the bathroom was still left very unclean for the duration of our stay. I personally do not think this is acceptable to rent a room and not clean between guests. This can definitely be improved. The shower is a pipe in the wall and very cold water- not an issue but just want to make others aware. The windows do not have fly screens and this could be a big improvement to the property as at night it is good to have airflow other than the fan as it gets very hot. It should also be known that the location of this hostel has moved so not all the photos in the booking.com are accurate. The photos and description does need to be updated.

Great location in the centre of town. Basic but comfortable & clean. Has a large fan in the double room. Diego was very kind & helpful. Balcony has 2 hammocks and comfortable chairs & tables. Eggs, toast & coffee included for breakfast made the value great.

Double bed could be better if 2 people are sleeping in it but ok for a few nights

Señora Sarah was very friendly and welcoming. The house was cute with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hostal is right in the middle of town and very walkable.

The kitchen was left quite dirty by other guests, making it unpleasant having to clean up the many ants swarming the counter before cooking for ourselves.

The location is right in the center of town and it was clean (except for the shower curtain which had a lot of mould).

No mosquito net or screen on the window is a big problem. There is only a fan so you either open the window and are attacked by mosquitos or close the window and get too hot. The bed is very old and sags in the middle a lot, very uncomfortable.

Location, although not sure where it is exactly. Quite hidden away. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.

The ladder of the bunk bed, half broken shower, host was easily agitated. No safety bar on the top bunk. No power socket or light.

- The hostel and dorm are very basic - The dorm lacks lockers, leaving valuables vulnerable to theft. And dorm door (in front of the house entrance) was often found open when getting back to the hostel - Mosquitoes in the dorm are a nuisance; installing mosquito nets or shutting the doors could alleviate this issue - There is no air conditioning, only a simple fan - The atmosphere is lacking; it is someone's house with a few extra rooms and a dormitory. Very few travellers - Times where there is no one at or around the reception/house for a couple of hours - No drinkable water, coffee, breakfast... - An inconvenience occurred when I was double charged for one night due to their faulty card machine. After leaving the hostel, attempts to contact them (with explanation of the issue, and bank statement screenshots to prove the matter) went unanswered for a week. Eventually, I reached them through a different number found online. They admitted receiving the double payment but initially told me I have to return to Minca to get my money back (!). After suggesting a Nequi transfer to my current hostel elsewhere, they agreed but refunded only a portion, claiming I hadn't paid for the laundry service, which I had already paid for - While the amounts involved are small, this experience highlights a severe lack of honesty and poor customer service. I wasted so much time trying to resolve this matter and had to annoyingly insist, as they were ignoring my messages and calls (on whatsapp, booking etc). I would not choose to stay there again.
