We had to find wifi to contact the owner to access the room. Maybe a self check in would have been easier but Stefano was helpful and gave us recommendations for our stay.

The bed was THE BEST bed that we slept on while traveling in Italy!! Very clean facilities. Great location to everything. And Stefano was incredibly helpful, informative, and nice!

It would have been nice if the online listing was a little more clear about what you're booking. We thought we booked the apartment with a kitchenette and balcony view. When we got there, we were informed that we actually booked in just a room with bathroom. That was a little disappointing, but the room still had an amazing view and it was very comfortable, even with the steep steps to get to the apartment.

The host was exceptional. View from the apartment was spectacular, perfect for an evening wine on the balcony. Large apartment and spotless.

Perfect view over Manarola. You basically have everything you need though there might be some improvements, but overall a very nice stay, highly recommend. Owners were very kind and helpful.

Mattress and pillows could be a bit more comfortable Also a bit annoying to not have something to hold the towels in the bathroom Keep in mind that the staff is at the reception starting from 9:15 am

The view from the apartment and balcony make up for many of its shortcomings. The place was spacious and reasonably priced (end of March 2024).

My biggest issue with this place was the lapse in communication. We emailed the owner twice to inform him that we would not arrive by 6 pm and needed instructions on how to get into the place. The owner never responded. As a result, we had to borrow a phone when we arrived at the train station, but it was difficult to understand the owner over the phone. He emailed instructions to us about 10-15 minutes later, while we were aimlessly trying to find the place in the dark. It would have been helpful if he had done this well beforehand. In the days leading up to our stay, I was worried about not being able to check in at all and having to find another place at the last minute because I could not get a hold of the owner. The apartment is right above a restaurant so you are at the mercy of the diners below. During our two-night stay, people were socializing outside well after midnight. Moreover, the sofa bed was flimsy and very uncomfortable. If you are a light sleeper, this place is not for you. As expected, the hill leading to the place is steep and there’s no elevator to the top floor. If you have mobility issues, you should find another place. We’re a family of four and fairly fit, but even we were tired carrying our luggage up the stairs. (The view is worth it though.) We were not given advance notice about paying the city tax in cash, and thus, we did not have the correct change. We were reluctant to give our credit card number via email for security reasons, but we felt like we didn’t have much of a choice. The owner seems nice, but there were one too many issues to make our stay relaxing.
