Hampton Inn Mount Vernon

We typically love Hampton Inn, regrettably not the case at the Mt Vernon IL location. Checked in late, strong smell of wet/mold in lobby, room not much better. The television did not work, just decided no TV watching. The rate was hiked to $140. Overall disappointment at this location. Really unacceptable for the entire hotel to smell like mildew.

Excellent Hotel! I have always had good luck with Hampton Inn. Kind of pricey, but I think it’s worth it. Comfortable room, nice service, decent breakfast. I’ll give it five stars. Not much to do in Mount Vernon though. The Dennys was good. Thank you and God bless!

It was fine and met our needs.

Mattresses were so lumpy and uncomfortable we could not sleep well which is one of the main reasons to stay at a hotel. Comforter was very heavy and kept sliding off the bed all night. Sink was so high you could hardly lean over it to brush your teeth.

Close to interstate and Tesla Superchargers

Room smelled musty. Wish they had some rooms that were not pet friendly.

Very clean property upon arrival. Lobby was clean, staff was friendly and the room was all we expected it to be.

There was hardly anything for breakfast. We always stay at Hampton because everything is always so nice. This was extremely disappointing.

Very nice facility. Service handling the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful.

Still puzzled why a sign said masks required but not a single employee had one on? Rooms are basic and clean. No microwave. You get what you pay for. Staff was nice. The location by EV chargers is great.
