Hampton Inn Oklahoma City/Edmond

The hotel just had a musty odor. Our room only had one chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed. The lighting was inadequate for evening. The AC was noisy and ran for a long time. My bed was fairly hard. Overall, not that good. We won't be back.

Would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. There are a few things on the property needing some attention, but nothing to focus on. Definitely a great place to stay. Breakfast had ample selections and the coffee was hot and ready early. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

We stayed here with other families and we all regretted it. The whole property needs a major renovation. The hallway carpet were all stained and smells really bad. The rooms were the same. The y smell so bad that we went and brought air fresheners. It didn’t help. Air conditioning units were loud and leaked. The elevator barely worked. Don’t stay here.

Reserved 2 rooms- one smelled horrible (think chemically covered mildew!) other room the toilet continually flushed and ran all night! The rooms were remodeled but not great quality. The beds were clean and comfort and the girl at the front desk was very nice and tried to help but didn’t have any other options for us. Very disappointed as I have always had great experiences with Hampton Inns in the past.

We had to kill two brown recluse spiders in the room in the first 10 minutes so we left not staying there

First, the good things: the room was clean and the people working in the hotel were very friendly. Unfortunately, this does not overcome the negatives, the biggest one being the lack of maintenance on this property. The first room we were given smelled overwhelmingly of mildew. We asked for and were given a new room. This one was upstairs and required the use of a rickety elevator that bore the scars of heavy use with no repairs. The elevator and hallways (featuring stained carpet) seemed to not be air conditioned, and it was 100+ outside. Our new room was poorly laid out with few convenient electrical outlets. The bathroom fan did not work, the sink was slow to drain, and the air conditioning never cooled below 73 no matter what the thermostat said. There were old nail holes on the wall that were unpatched. The shower curtain rod was bent, causing the shower curtain to slowly slide out of place during a shower. The bed was uncomfortable, with a mattress pad that was like a slippery balloon under the sheets. I hated to stay a second night, but the business that brought us to the city made packing up and moving more inconvenient than just staying in our non-refundable room. Last thing: we reserved a suite. This was a normal hotel room with a small loveseat next to the bed. I asked the front desk and was assured that this was their version of a "suite."

When I got to the room my door was a jar. Then I realized my door was very hard to shut and very hard to open. No biggie. Just thought I would state that room 208 the door is really difficult to open and close. The AC would not come on at all. When I got in the room. I finally got down on the floor and plugged it back in. Then it worked. It was adequate. Not as cold as I like it to be but it was okay for the evening. I liked the welcome with my name on the screen when I got there and we turned on TV. There was a variety of channels I like the guide etc. The room look really nice. It look clean. Great water pressure, bathroom was nice. Plenty of light. The room had plenty of light. I will say the charging port on the nightstand was broken so we could only use the one at the table. And when we came back from going to dinner the TV did not work. I did have to log into my Netflix but none of the channels worked. It said off air. It was already late. I didn't want to go get anyone because I was in my pajamas and I was not going to have somebody come in my room at that hour. I did mention it the next morning. They did apologize but honestly that was not a good thing since we like to just lay there having the TV on for noise and I really didn't want to log into my Netflix to have on that TV. Overall. The property's okay. The two hotels I stayed at before had better beds and pillows. But for the price it was okay.

Breakfast has really went downhill at this hote. Beds were hard.
