Secrets on Main Bed & Breakfast

Wonderful evening.

I booked Secrets on Main to treat my fiancé during his first trip to Michigan. We absolutely LOVED our stay and will be telling everyone about this little gem! Cheboygan was our home base for a day trip to Mackinac Island. Terry & Lori were extremely hospitable…feeding us perfectly roasted marshmallows around the evening campfire and ensuring that our unique diets were accommodated. The rooms are each so cozy and creatively decorated and the hot tub was amazing! Terry’s art is beautiful and we ended up buying several pieces for our new home! When we left, it honestly felt like we’d known them our entire life!

My mom and I loved loved LOVED our stay at Secrets on Main. Laurie & Terry (the owners) are such great people, full of joy, funny, so accommodating, and so incredibly creative. I seriously left hoping that they wanted to stay in touch and that we’d be able to consistently go back in the future, in order to maintain a friendship with them. Plus, the house is just amazing. It’s historic, but completely brought back to life in such a unique and beautiful and whimsical way. I feel like if I had lived in that house for months and months I would still be discovering beautiful, interesting, cute, and quirky things all the time. All of the other guests were so fun. We all had great conversations and it just felt like a wonderful community while we were there. We only drove 20 minutes to get to the ferry in Mackinaw City, and had a beautiful ride over to Mackinac Island. Seriously, I cannot recommend this B&B and Laurie and Terry enough. I could sit here and type about how all of the standard amenities were great, such as the kitchen, WiFi, bathrooms, comfortable beds, hot tub, gorgeous porch, delicious breakfast, etc. etc. but I would much rather tell you that this B&B just makes you feel like you’ve found a home away from home that an interior designer from Disneyland may have constructed, and you’ll be surrounded by wonderful people during your stay. I can’t wait to go back.

The Hosts were very friendly and informative. The entire facility was clean with pleasant and interesting surroundings. The breakfast was fabulous…..certainly delicious, served beautifully and allowed for a friendly exchange amount the guests. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and plan on returning as opportunity presents.

This B&B and its owners were fabulous! The home was beautiful, top notch and very clean... Terry and Laurie were like friends and made you feel so welcome! So many wonderful amenities and a delicious breakfast to boot! Just a few blocks from shops and night life. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expections!

A very charming Victorian home with all the amenities and such a warm, inviting atmosphere you could want. Fabulous hosts ensure your stay is the best!

This is a one-of-a-kind stay. There are so many unique and interesting things to enjoy. The hosts, Terry and Lorie are warm and enjoyable. The breakfast was tasty and thoughtfully presented.

Very well cared for historic home with a lot of attention to detail. We enjoyed the family style homemade breakfast and the hosts were wonderful.
