Bird of Paradise Hotel

nice Place, more for young people then families but we had to book at the last minute. Was OK for one night. Good location

Close to beach, good pool but needs new lounge chairs. No hot water and the shower head broke and was not fixed for two days prior to our leaving. Also a very noisy rooster up early in the morning. Parking is minimal

This hotel was adequate for a one-night stay over. The location is pretty good: just a short walk to anything in Jacó, but not too close to the nightclubs if you want to sleep. You have to wear a paper wristband which I did not care for. Other guests coming back late from the bars can be loud/disruptive. My room did not have toilet paper, which I didn’t realize until I was already on the toilet. 😬 Shower was pretty run down, but it still functioned. Bed was pretty good. Just the basics, no special frills or creature comforts.

We had a great stay! Everything was nice and clean and we loved the free bicycle rentals. I would stay again.

Very nice and helpful staff. The bed lining was very comfortable and the location is great. Although the hotel is under remodelling there is very little disturbance. Cute and comfy. Good parking space.

The Bird of Paradise Hotel is advertised as a 3 star experience, but for my wife and I, it surpassed that rating. I travel a lot, so I could be considered somewhat of a professional when it comes to hotel rooms. I clearly enjoyed the cleanliness of the room, and the bathroom, as well as the comfortable bed, and especially the quiet efficient air conditioner. The almost silent air conditioner was a real plus for us. I also appreciated the friendly staff that made us feel right at home. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet place close to the beach in Jacó, Costa Rica, then the Bird of Paradise Hotel is a place to consider. --James S
