This property has so many onsen location for you to choose. You can also reserve for private onsen session. The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere at this property is superb.

The staff of Sanso Tensui are very friendly and do anything they can to make your stay memorable. Breakfast and dinner are outstanding in taste and presentation.

It’s beautiful. They have like 4 onsen and rooms with private onsen and you can also book a private onsen. Very nice for couples as the regular onsen are women or men only. We had the room wit private onsen and it was worth every penny. The room looked out on the waterfall and a nice Japanese garden. The surroundings are beautiful. You hear and see the waterfall, everything is like a Japanese fairytale. The employees are the kindest. And the food is probably the best Japanese food we had. The total experience was so luxurious and perfect. We loved it!

Expensive for a family, although worth it

와이프 생일을 맞이 해서 방문했습니다. 가족단위가 오기에 좋은 시설이었고, 모든 스텝이 친절해서 같이간 가족 모두 만족했습니다. 석식으로 즐긴 가이세키요리도 어디에서도 맛볼수 없는 훌륭한 수준이었으며, 조식또한 간결하지만 하나하나 정성이 가득 담긴 느낌이었습니다. 돌아온지 하루도 안되었지만, 벌써 와이프는 친정식구들과 다시 올 계획을 짜고 있네요... 사진으로 느낄수 없는 완벽한 료칸의 문화를 제대로 느끼고 왔습니다.

This traditional Ryokan is incredibly beautiful. It has well-kept beautiful old buildings equipped with all desired modern amenities and wonderful onsen. But the very best thing about our stay was the service. The staff really give it their very best. They helped us so much with transportation troubles due to a typhoon and the chef prepared the most delicious and beautiful Kaiseki (traditional dinner) and breakfast.

There is nothing we did not like. One suggestion could be to have a body lotion dispenser for after the bath in addition to all the other toiletries.
