Caparica Azores Ecolodge

The view from the room was remarkable - so peaceful and tranquil! Breakfast was excellent, good selection and freshly cooked eggs from the kitchen from very friendly staff was something to look forward to each morning!

The team took great care of every of our wishes! Carla welcomed us in a very friendly way. She also arranged restaurant bookings for dinner on behalf of us. The breakfast was magnificent and one of the best we had in the Azores.

De eerste accommodatie op onze ontdekkingsreis van de Azoren, en wat voor één! We kregen een uiterst hartelijke ontvangst van de host, die ons meteen inleidde in de Azoreaanse way of life en tips gaf voor restaurants en bezienswaardigheden. Zij en de rest van het team staan steeds voor je klaar staan, ook via WhatsApp. De lodges bevinden zich op bosrijke heuvel en zijn simpelweg fantastisch! We hadden de hoogst gelegen lodge (er is een kabellift die de bagage voor je omhoog brengt) die een prachtig uitzicht had aan de voorzijde en aan de achterzijde uitgaf op het bos. We voelden ons direct één met de natuur... Absolute aanrader!

Carla and the staff were very kind and available. They helped us a lot during our stay, which was unforgettable. The rooms are perfect, they make you feel really in touch with nature. Furthermore, the breakfast with local products is something you’re gonna remember of. I wish I could fly back to caparica ecolodge!

The setting is great - you are surrounded by bush and even tree ferns. Very quiet. We booked a lodge with sea view and enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The staff was great, especially Carla, who gave us a lot of good suggestions, what to visit, where to eat etc.The breakfast is 5 star! We would come back anytime.

If they would put a window glass with a thin curtain ( you can open and close) instead of the milky glass in between the bedroom and the shower, the room would be much brighter. It is quite dark, when it's raining.

Super friendly staff, exceptional nature location which is really well integrated, respecting it's surroundings. If this is your style, you will love it. Pool looked nice also, wish we could have enjoyed it. Breakfast delicious with local ingredients.

This type of accommodation means you have to forfeit other things. No lift, so only stairs (although they have a small rope lift for luggage) . And a small bungalow specially if you have 1 or 2 kids and many bags. Again, not an issue if you are OK with this. Location is hard to reach, but worth it.
