Secluded peaceful spot, surrounded by forest. It's a bit like I imagine glamping. The breakfast with local delicacies and the views were impressive. Eco-friendly and fairly-tale like scenery.

Bathrooms: The lodge is small, and the bathroom has no door. The shower has a milky glass wall facing the rest of the room. Not the best setup if you value privacy.

I decided to treat myself for my birthday in what looks like a fantastic place bonded with nature and I was in a great mood when I arrived. The structure is actually charming, merged into nature and nicely designed. The breakfast is great, very complete and satisfying. It could basically be considered a brunch.

The breakfast is the only food you can get there. Drinks for pay at the minibar, not even water is provided free. Considering that the only restaurant in the area is 35 minute walking down a slope and closes early, it’s very inconvenient. It would make a huge difference to just have fresh water at disposal and the possibility to order some of the delicious food available at breakfast for the evening. Also, be sure to memorize the position and the name of your unit because it isn’t on the keys and at nigh, even thou it’s illuminated, it’s tricky to get which is yours. Bonding with nature and needing to jump on a car for anything is a contrast and there are no slow mobility option other then your own legs. Buses are very scarce, no taxis or possibility to rent on place. No pick-up, transfers or any help are offered. Great nature and hikes are available in the area but you won’t get any useful information from the structures. No maps, no links, no precise insight, no planned activities. You are on your own. Carefully prepare yourself before arriving or you will be lost. I only managed to orientate and know how to reach the attractions thanks to a great smartphone app. Finally, communication with the property is erratic. For unclear reasons, you are supposed to join a WhatsApp group, which I find unnecessary and irritating. If you don’t you are out. Receptions times are strict and no flexibility or options are given. All the answer you will get for any request will start with a “you should have” and a reminder of the reception opening hours. Blame on you. A few, silly and common efforts would have made a huge difference and made my stay amazing but, unfortunately, my personal experience was just bad.

Truly unique property designed and built to a high standard. Exemplary staff, delicious breakfasts and a truly an escape destination.

Its an amazing outstanding place - with fine design and most of all outstanding welcoming host Carla Alves - extremely competent and kind, willing to make our stay best.

its the climate in the winter I guess that makes humidity and weather very challenging to bear

Beautifully designed cabins in a lush forest near Biscoitos. It was very quiet (only sounds of nature!) and clean, the shower was hot and very good. A real delight was to wake up, open the windows, and to be surrounded by the nature! The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Great views from the cabin and the breakfast area. All the staff were very helpful and nice.

We are so happy we found that gem! The staff especially Carla are unique and really great! The breakfast is made with love and organic. The cabins are cosy and beautiful! We were treated all the way in person or via Whatsapp in an really incredible way. Even as a frequent traveller who has seen a lot I only can say - come here, stay here!

Excellent location in the north of the island, but still accesible to anywhere within 30-40mins by car. The cabins are nestled into rug forest and it’s lovely and calm. Rooms are quaint and just right. Breakfast was exceptional. The hospitality was superb. I really liked the WhatsApp group for easy access to suggestions and advice.

You need to have no privacy issues if staying with another person as the toilet has no door if curtain and the room is small enough, you might want to step outside to give them some personal time.

Lovely, remote spot in nature! Delicious breakfast and super warm and friendly staff…would definitely go back!
