Old Mill Cottage

The location was convenient for St Andrews but was not peaceful as advertised due to proximity to busy road.

The cleanliness was not good. Dirty towel left hanging on door, shower enclosure covered in black mould, carpets and worktops unclean, outside area and garden furniture covered in tree debris, musty smell downstairs. The cottage was generally tired.

Perfect location for visiting the university for an open day. Able to explore and see the sites. Great choice for a short stay.

The only thing which wasn't brilliant was the temperature of the water, which should be an easy fix. It is scalding hot and as individual taps couldn't cool directly. Quite dangerous with children.

It was a charming wee house, clean and pretty, with a super view of the garden and fenced area for our dogs

It lacked a few things that someone living there full time would have noticed - a proper plug for the sink, a washing up.bowl, easy to.follow cooker instructions. That sounds very niggly because it didn't matter much and we had fun working out how to work the hobs eventually

The location was perfect for travelling to a wedding at Falside Mill. The cottage was gorgeous and peaceful.

It was a little bit difficult to find! Even with the videos on the arrival info sent out we still drove past every time we returned to the cottage.
