Very comfortable bed. Great location. Maria is a warm and gracious host.

The proprietor Maria was simply wonderful! Her property was so beautiful and unique. We were very happy with every aspect of our stay.

Very nice breakfast and the people working there were great - very nice and helpful! The area was also nice.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Diana was very responsive and helped us to get a taxi to the train station. When we were in Porto, the post office was closed. I left postage money/postcards and Diana went to the post office for me. The postcard arrived at my friends a couple of weeks later. Thanks very much, Diana!

We were attracted to this place because of its name, Palace. It might have lots of history but we didn't think it worths the price. We had the room with a living room but was told not to sit on the sofa because it's part of history. We asked where can we sit and was directed to the two chairs in a small balcony. When we sat down, we faced the wall and absolutely no view when we stand. There are few outlets and we had to leave our electronics on the floor. There was no gardens in the property as we envisioned for a palace. I asked to take a look of the outside and was told only up to 10 feet from the door. We literally have to spend most of our time away because we were not comfortable in just seating on the bed. Certainly no where that we can relax. There is no lobby either in this place. We were lucky that we hired a driver to take us to Porto. He is a local Porto resident and he found the place for us. We bet we could not find it if we came ourselves. The signage was not obvious and limited street parking if one drives. It is not close to the Trindade Metro station at all, at least 10+ minutes if one knows the way.

Incredible stay at the Palace. Maria and Diana took wonderful care of us. The building is beautiful and interesting. The rooms are relaxing.

A unique hidden gem in the center of Porto. Once you are through the doors you immerse yourself in a beautifully restored palace Museum ran by amazing hosts who deeply care about giving their guest an unforgettable experience

A unique hotel close to the centre of Porto. A very personal welcome by the staff and owner of the hotel was the start of an exceptional 4 day stay in Porto. The hotel is discretely situated in a small street and when we opened the door to the hotel we found ourselves in a beautiful original house with original paintings on the wall paper, hand painted decorations and furnitures to match the originality of the entire house. All is carefully renovated with the hotel comfort in mind. We had a suite to the garden and experienced some of the most quiet hotel nights ever. The owner and staff finds an exceptional pride in their work and in maintaining the house and the hotel standard and were providing outstanding assistance and advices to visits in Porto. By far the best, most personal and most outstanding and unique hotel experience ever.
