Hotel Playa Espadilla y Gardens

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Playa Espadilla. The grounds are gorgeous, the amenities are great, the rooms are clean, the staff if very friendly and helpful, and the food is quite good. Located 5 minutes walk from Playa Espadilla, and the same to the entrance of Manuel Antonio park, the location is really ideal. We also really appreciated the small boutique size. The pool is not huge, but it was never crowded because there just aren’t that many people staying there, even though I’m sure they were fully booked, and we could always get one of the very comfy shaded lounges that at other larger resorts are always occupied. We also really enjoyed the restaurant. We found it to be the best that we went to in the Manuel Antonio area, and we had dinner there twice, and enjoyed the breakfast there every morning. Overall we had a great experience at Hotel Playa Espadilla and we would definitely stay there again if we return.

Well maintained property that has a bit of a vintage character. Breakfast is terrific, but what is really special is that it is an easy walk to the National Park and the main street with good dining options. Many others arrived at the national park by bus or car with limited parking. We were happy with our choice

It was just a short walk to the beach. Staff attentive and we felt very safe walking around property. The restaurant is on the sister property just 2 minutes up the road. The food was delicious.

This hotel was really well located for visitors to Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach - you could get to either location in less than 5 minutes. Our room had 2 double beds, one of which was in its own nook. We also had a small refrigerator, ceiling fans over each bed, air conditioning, a safe, and a nice size bathroom. Our room and the entire property were extremely clean and well cared for. We ate breakfast each morning (included in our stay) at a covered pavilion behind the pool, toward the rear of the property. Breakfast is partly buffet (fruits, cereal, coffee, etc) but we were delighted to be able to order entrees (omelettes, French toast, etc) from a menu as well. The staff at the front desk were all incredibly helpful during our stay. Thanks to Dylan for all the local information you shared with me and my daughter. Thanks to your colleagues as well for arranging taxis for us at night. (It’s U.S. $10 to go anywhere within a set radius, whether you go a mile away (5 minute ride) or a bit further to the town of Quepos). The restaurant in the back of the hotel property is excellent - you can tell a chef is running the kitchen. We had dinner there once and lunch there twice. A special thank you to Joxsan for bringing me ice water in a napkin when the humid weather got to me and overall being so attentive. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Highly recommended!

Lovely room with breakfast buffet and parking included. Has a pool and easy access to walking to the beach. They provide you with pool towels. It is within walking distance to Manuel Antonio National Park and to multiple shops and restaurants. Mini ridge and Umbrellas are both provided in each room which was a nice added touch as they came in handy! Would recommend

Staff was wonderful. Able to leave our car there after check out and spend day in Manuel Antonio park. Even allowed us to use showers and pool after return. Walking distance to beach and park. Would highly recommend

Very welcoming, clean, great service, nice staff, friendly demeanor, very nice rooms, very nice pool area, convenient to preserve.

The complimentary breakfast is delicious, the best we have ever had. The location is perfect if you want to go to Manuel Antonio. Its just far enough away from the park to get away from the tourist trap vendors. This is also a great location if you want to go to Espadilla Beach. The rooms are clean and the staff is really pleasant.

The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and I loved the location. Only 2min walk to the beach and 6 min walk from the main entrance of the national park. Also great perks was monkeys came into the hotel by the pool area so I really enjoyed that
