Cocotal Inn and Cabanas

Location was great & the staff was super helpful. Cabin was neat & clean.

Need to invest in new pillows. The pillows were old & hard. Hard to get comfortable.

Bikes were available for guests. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The first night we arrived at the hotel was very late. Ben, the manager drove us and picked us up at the restaurant nearby for dinner. The staff provided an extra air mattress for my son with no additional charge and allowed late checkout because of no future guests arriving on the same day.

Not a massive resort. Not too close the the bustle of town, but not so far away that you were isolated. Loved the tin roof and the large dock with hammocks. Beautiful pool, well kept grounds and really exceptional staff.

Fees were a bit tricky to understand and so ended up paying more than we thought. Price quoted was in CND then converted to USD but charged in BZD which showed on our statement as CDN and was about $500 more than advertised due to tax that we didn’t realize and conversions of dollars.

We loved the quiet 2-bedroom 2nd floor unit that had a spacious living room and kitchen. We enjoyed the location which was easily accessible from the water taxi by the golf cart that we rented. The pier gave us easy access to all of the snorkeling trips that we went on.

Great place! We loved the shoreline access with hammocks and beach chairs. They offered free bike and kayak rental which was fun and super convenient, especially to access nearby restaurants. The room itself was very big, even our budget-friendly option - we had a full-size fridge and living room. The staff provided a complimentary shuttle from the water taxi and was able to assist with other accommodations on a moment’s notice (golf cart rental, for example).

It’s a bit further north than we realized. There is plenty to do and eat nearby, but you will want a golf cart to visit downtown San Pedro. But you’d likely want that just about anywhere you stay, so I wouldn’t let it get in the way of staying here.

Cabana was excellent!

Beach. No access to beach that was clean. Steps on pier were totally covered with growth. No way to get in and out of water easily.
