Unfortunately, Malibu Beach Inn was a very disappointing experience. The hotel may have had a great location and charm at some point in the past, but today it gives a very tired impression. The rooms feel old, worn out, and poorly maintained. They are also quite noisy, which makes it difficult to relax properly. The most unpleasant part was the condition of the room itself. The floor felt sticky, the furniture looked dirty, and the sofa had so many stains that sitting on it required more courage than checking in. This is not the kind of atmosphere you expect from a hotel in this price category — or, frankly, from any hotel. The surrounding area is also quite sad at the moment, especially after the fires, so the location no longer compensates for the poor condition of the property. Whether you are traveling alone, with your family, with your wife, or with your husband, I honestly would not recommend staying here until the hotel renovates the rooms — or at least gives them a very serious deep cleaning. At the moment, the overall impression is not “Malibu dream,” but rather “Malibu, please let me leave.”

The stay was exactly what was represented by the hotel and booking process. The staff truly understands the essence of professional friendly service. They remind me of what service should be. Thank you

La porta del bagno funzionava male ed era rumorosissima, impossibile da utilizzare di notte senza disturbare chi dorme La porta finestra verso la terrazza non si poteva chiudere perchè la meccanica era rotta Lavori in corso nella stanza vicina con lavori molto rumorosi la mattina presto non sono stati graditi anche quelli Per il costo della stanza troppe mancanze Ma la posizione per noi è troppo importante per cui siamo rimasti e saremmo disposti anche a tornarci! Abbiamo segnalato tutto speriamo serva per migliorare!

We had a fabulous stay! It was our third time at the Inn and we went for a little R&R. The staff is highly-trained, the accommodations are beautiful and on the water. The tide comes right up to the building and you can relax to the sound of the waves. Excellent, top-notch food / beverages (try the lobster roll!!) and friendly, attentive servers. We already can’t wait to book our next stay!

The concierge reached out to confirm our check-in time and sent over a curated list of local restaurants and nearby Malibu activities. This proactive approach took all the stress out of planning and made our trip effortless. Outstanding Staff & Personalized Check-in From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff made us feel completely at home. A huge thank you to Marisol, who cheerfully checked us in and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel even arranged a couple of thoughtful anniversary surprises in our room that Annie absolutely loved (and definitely made me look like a hero!). From that point on, the entire trip was pure bliss. Every single staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a wonderful stay. Unbeatable Location & Breathtaking Views You cannot beat the location of this property. The Malibu Beach Inn is perfectly situated right on the water and is incredibly close to top-tier restaurants and great shopping. The oceanfront view from our room was simply unbelievablem. Waking up to the sound of the waves right outside your balcony is an unforgettable experience. The Verdict Whether you are planning a romantic anniversary trip, a parents' weekend getaway, or just looking for the premier oceanfront hotel in Southern California, I cannot recommend the Malibu Beach Inn enough. Incredible views, a perfect location, and an amazing staff make this a 10/10 experience.
