The Reid Hall

The house is beautiful - and part of a set of historical buildings (that are gradually being renovated). The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The hosts Adam and Lin are most friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. They provided a superb breakfast each morning, with fresh ingredients, and they offered lots of help in ideas for spending the day or for having dinner etc.

Nothing. Maybe a bit more help in finding it - we had to go back and forth before we notice the small sign at the road.

The friendly hosts,Lin and Adam, were happy to oblige with local information and went out of their way to assist.The rooms were spotless, tastefully decorated, and upgraded to a high standard. The breakfasts were tasty.

Beautiful and unique

Bedroom windows sealed due to various factors.

This is located in a fairly old building right next to what was previously a church. I wasn't expecting much of it, but it was actually really good. Lin greeted us as we arrived and told us all about the place. You could instantly see that this place was far more techy than most other accommodations, and that is Adam's doing. Not only can he chat a lot about electronics, but he can cook up a fabulous breakfast. Once we ate in the morning, Lin drove us to the airport and stayed with us until we departed, chatting about all things Orkney and more. The place is nice, but the super friendly owners really make it great, so I would strongly recommend staying this if you're visiting Westray.

Very warm welcome, really appreciated being able to get in and change into cycling gear before check in time. Good suggestions for activities and eating. Owners friendly and attentive to visitors needs.

We would have preferred 'proper porridge' slow cooked in a pan rather than instant. A small thing but thought we'd mention it.

Location was a bit far to walk for dinner, but it was a lovely setting and very praceful

Maybe a bit of a more clear description of location. If you don't have a car there is nowhere close to get something to eat.
