Paradise Plaza Inn

Pet friendly, on the boardwalk. Staff was very friendly. Room size was very good.

Some carpeting on the floor would make it feel a little warmer (even additional area rugs). Sliding doors do not lock on second level - can make people traveling alone feel a little less safe when balconies are connected (yes there is a bar).

The view of the beach was amazing but the TV didn't work.well and the room was dusty. Overpriced for what I got.

Again having to wait till 4pm to check in is just a hassle you lose a whole day and while we got there at 10 and they let us park early I was still having to call at 4 to see if the room was ready

I was a little skeptical about booking any hotel on the boardwalk in OC because I havent been there in years. I actually quit going because the accomodations were always so overpriced and you never got what you paid for. After looking for almost 3 weeks I ended up choosing the Paradise Plaze Inn on 9th and Boardwalk. We had a great stay, room was clean, deck was AMAZING, beds were super comfy, TV channel lineup was great for a hotel, and the staff was super! Upon arrival our jacuzzi tub didnt work and i thought "oh boy here we go" but they addressed and fixed the issue immediately. The size if the tub is aweome! I cant say enough about the staff being helpful and friendly. Even the man working nightshift always talked to me went I went downstairs and everytime we left they said "goodbye" and "welcome back" when we would return. The only complaint I had was that the entire balcony door locking mechanism was torn out so their was a huge VERY significant gap in the balcony doora. Also I would have preferred that the door.leading to the deck had some kind of covering. Im used to staying in very upgraded hotels anytime we travel and although this isnt the fanciest of hotels it was simple, spacious, and surprisingly clean and cozy for our stay. Very spacious for a 4 person room, the deck was incredible!!! If we were to go again I wouldn't even need to search other hotels. We stayed in room 805. Oh and one more thing amd another reason we quit staying in OC was because everyhing was always so loud anywhere you stayed and despite it being Senior week and being a pet friendly hotel it was SUPER QUIET never once did I hear any of the other guests. Overall im VERY pleased with our stay and wanted to thank all of the staff you were all great. Definitely get that balcony door fixed though because it takes away from the overall condition of the room which is otherwise great😀 Pic of balcony door And deck with beautiful sunrise view.
