The Newberry Hotel Bend, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

For the amount of money (and choices) I expected a lot more. It was a $200.motel for the price of a $500 hotel. No real service-no valet, Reaturant-both evening and morning, had 1 person staffing-cook, bar tending, bussing tables, it was hard to watch, let alone wanting to order but feeling sorry for them. Exactly the same for breakfast-that we paid extra with the room. We had to wait 45 minutes after we ordered, were charged and had to remind them we prepaid. Not mad at them-very terrible management! We were not the only ones taking about this-other guests were also commenting that for this price it was a low budget hotel.

The room, the poor condition of the facilities, internet was extremely slow, the fitness center was closed although supposed to be open 24/7, breakfast available 1 hour later than what stated, broken handles, flooded bathroom, no paper towels, sheets were overused with tiny pills on them. Worst was the staff: unkind and unwilling to help.

Stay here one night for a family trip. The location is great, literally a 2 minutes walk to Zydeco kitchen, and other downtown attractions. The Bend Visitor Center is just downstairs. The service is excellent, all staff are very hospitable. On the other hand, the hardware is a meh, the bath room space in the standard room is very limited, and the AC unit is a little bit noisy.

Reminded why I booke vacation rentals, and not hotels like this. Door did not shut all the way, had to forcefully pull or push (hard) to get it to shut, felt very unsafe. Upon arrival the member of staff was so nice to the gentleman in front of me, but when helping me - very rude, short, and just tossed my keys across the counter. Room was not clean, and lots of broken things. Shower floor had hair on it, bathroom mirrors smudged with fingerprints and smears, cabinets around microwave/sink falling down and covered in dust, bedroom was smooshed in - felt like I was in a micro-apartment, , carpet needed vacuuming, and the towels had balled up hair stuck in them. Also, air conditioning barely worked and kicked on so loud it shook you awake. Plus 2nd floor ice machine did not work. Don't forget, they charge for every little thing - daily parking NOT included.

Enjoyed the trip, staff were friendly, and hotel was a fun vibe.

Property has been remodeled and rebranded by Hilton. Used to be the Double Tree now it’s the Newberry. Part of the tapestry brand. Hotel location is perfect right in down town Bend. The downtown is all walkable from hotel. Room with a balcony was nice. Only complaint is the room was difficult to keep comfortable at night. It was usually to warm even with setting @65 degrees. We should have opened the window. Pillows were horrible didnt see any others in the closet nor did I ask about them having others. These two items made it difficult to get a good nights sleep.
