Falmouth Self Catering Lodges

Location was lovely though view spoilt by formats of rear of properties which could be made more of.

Expected phone signals to be patchy and welcome pack did say WiFi was also. What they actually should have said is WiFi is non existent to the point won’t even accept users. Meaning no phone, internet or smart tv.

The location of Falmouth Lodge was excellent. It was handy for the beach and town. The apartment was very very clean and I would like to Thank the cleaning g staff for this

The TV stand and coffee table were very shabby with veneer broken from them and there were water marks around the lounge window. More importantly the blind chain in the lounge were not attached to the safety bracket and therefore a major health and safety concern. The fan in the main bathroom squealed when on. Most of all though was the absence of any Internet was a major problem All 3 TVs relied on the Internet to receive any programming. Therefore there was no TV working. Fortunately we had fab weather but any children or teenagers would find this very distressing. Emily ( a receptionist) was brilliant and asked for maintenance to help. After this we could only access sky news intermittently.

Location was excellent and had everything we needed in the lodge. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean.

The WiFi was terrible/ non existent and 4G signal did not work inside the property so WiFi would have come in handy.

Great location. Well equipped

Advert was deceiving, this is an apartment not a house/lodge. Sofas were shabby, uncomfortable and too small. Lounge/kitchen too small. Windows poor and could feel drafts and was noisy. We had a significant leak, took ages to get someone to respond, no one repaired, no one apologised, no compensation.

The safety keylock was tricky to use!

Location can’t be faulted lovely view, even better now the parking in front of the units has been stopped. Parking behind the units is handy.

Desperately needs a refresh furniture is old worn and damaged, barely enough utensils etc to be used for cooking. The patios really need to be enclosed to be truly pet and children friendly. WiFi is awful, don’t rely on it if you need to work.

The boiler was so noisy it sounded like a ships foghorn right outside the door. We thought it might explode! I told management in a review and requested a reply. They have not bothered to reply even for this serious issue. The service sticker on the boiler suggested it may not have been serviced for many years. When I came home I spoke to a heating engineer who even before I finished speaking knew which boiler is was. He said it’s a class fault on these Ideal (the make) boilers when they are not serviced often enough. So this confirmed our fears. It’s possible they are braking the law when letting out rented accommodation without up to date services on gas appliances.....
