Hôtel Restaurant le Gruyérien

Everything was very good and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Very nice staff. We had an amazing view of the lake.

When I arrived around 7:00pm, Hotel was closed for families gathering. All lights off.

Nice property with great views, clean rooms, excellent food and coffee. Professional, friendly service. Proprietor is pleasant and efficient. Rooms are spacious. Beautiful valley. Great location for seeing dèsalpes in Charmey. Can’t recommend enough.

At first we were disappointed that we were bumped from a hotel in Gruyere, but once we got here we loved this place! The room was simple but had a lovely view of Lake Gruyere. We had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed local fish and fondue. The included breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Great dinner from the hunters season, good service, nice wine selection. Rooms are not luxurious but value for money. Shower gives a lot of water which is nice. I stayed in room 10 and using the toilet is a challenge (the door is between or at the side of your legs... :) The bar has a few drinks, but be aware if you stay there with some friends, after midnight the landlady will tell you quite strictly it is time for bed. There are other ways of communications where they could introduce the closure of the bar with a last orders, but they do not wish any guests to stay up longer... The friendliness of the hotel is very poor, the value for money and food is good.

Simple room and bathroom but nice place, friendly staff and excellent restaurant - just 10 mins drive from Charmey and the baths. Excellent breakfast Buffet, fresh and home made, big car park, cute balcony ! Great place for a weekend getaway !
