Good location for visiting family in the area. Staff seemed pleasant.

The restaurant closed at 6pm and the bar was closed by 8pm. We didn’t arrive until 7pm so were unable to get dinner there as planned. Unfortunately the air con was a ceiling fan which was quite noisy and it was a very hot night. Room was adequate but quite tired.

We arrived on bank holiday Monday to find it deserted and shut. We had a call from the staff to say there would not be food available as this would have stopped by the time we arrived. We were amazed to find it closed on arrival. A note was in the door telling us which room was ours and where the key was. Two staff were just leaving and said it was shut. There was no prior communication.

The room was in need of update. Stained bathroom ceiling, chipped paint and a window without a latch. The bed was comfortable and there was yea and coffee facilities. If we had known it was all shut was wouldn’t have stayed there. The staff member the next morning was very pleasant and breakfast was good. Lovely settling.

This is lovely place! The room was a great size, with a very spacious bathroom (bath & separate shower!). The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was delicious! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just a very nice country pub with good food

Rooms are a tiny bit dated but nothing that would put me off

Conveniently situated , easy to find .. nice accomodation and parking

As a wheelchair user..the accessible room worked well for me.

No Disabled parking space and pushing my wheelchair through the gravelled car park was very difficult.

I thought there wasn't much on the full English, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was just right and very tasty

Pie crust, tasty but very tough
