Friendly staff and great breakfast.

Bed was hard.

The parking and room accommodations were excellent. But where this property shines is the staff.

The bed was terrible! Every bone in my body hurt the next morning!!!!

Stayed January 22–25, 2026 at Fairfield Inn & Suites Minneapolis Shakopee. As a long-time Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected basic standards like daily room cleaning—especially since it was explicitly promised at check-in for my multi-night stay. They never cleaned the room once over three nights. By day two, it was filthy: unmade beds with wrinkled sheets, damp towels piling up, overflowing trash, bathroom grime, and a stale smell everywhere. No fresh linens, no trash emptied, nothing. When I asked the front desk why, the response was shockingly dismissive: “It is what it is—we didn’t get to it.” Zero apology, zero effort to fix it (like bringing towels or compensating), and no accountability. Asked for a manager? “Can’t find one” or not possible. Completely apathetic. This is disgraceful. Hotels are supposed to provide clean, comfortable rooms—that’s the bare minimum. Failing a direct promise and shrugging it off shows zero care for guests, especially loyal ones. I’ve stayed at many Marriotts and never seen such neglect. Avoid this place. Plenty of better options in Shakopee near Valleyfair/Canterbury. 1/5 stars – would give 0 if possible. Extremely disappointing.
