There were some quirks with the heat and fireplace but the owners were very attentive and helpful. Cool BEAUTIFUL place. EXCEEDINGLY clean. Great coffee and scones. We were really pleased!

"Wonderful renovated old mansion."

This is a wonderfully renovated old mansion. Great location by lake, near state capital. Owners are very responsive. Due to Covid breakfast was skimpy, a scone and coffee plus tangerine. Would appreciate at least two flat pillow out of four. Do know that all rooms are on second floor so you have to be able to carry your luggage up stairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It’s such a treat to stay at a well-preserved, tastefully updated, former Governor’s mansion. All the comforts of modern life, with a uniquely historical atmosphere. Great spot to stay, within easy walking distance of State Street and shops/school.

Really enjoyed the Inn. It's comfortable and very well maintained. Location was great. Staff was helpful. Check in was so easy. Nice but limited breakfast. Love the availability of tea all day and grab your own additional towels if needed. Because it is an historic property, water pressure was low so a shower seemed way to long to me

Location is great! Very easy to walk to restaurants, museums, State Street, etc. Loved not having to deal with front desk check-in or getting a key. Very fun and unique experience. I will definitely stay here again.
