Starfish Tobago Resort

I love this hotel. Location, condition and maintenance, the staff, the service, other guests.... The only downside I see is the price of dinner (if you're not all inclusive). Breakfast and grill bar food was ok but I think it lacked local dishes.

Food was good and drinks was excellent. Staff was good expect when checking in. Staff at check in counter was agressvie and rude. Very disrespectful. Room was comfortable but poor state, run down, no pressure in bathroom pipe, out door patio furniture was old and rotten.

Excellent location for a holiday. Beautiful access to the beach ... which was calm most of the time. Excellent for both young and older holidaymakers.

Very disappointing, disgusting rooms and poor customer service

We arrived to the hotel at 9 pm. While i was doing the check in my wife went to get some food from the buffett. She was rushed to make up a plate (to go) because they were already closing although they close the buffett at 09:30 pm. No drinks, no service, no dessert, no real choice of what she wanted to eat and still they were very incisive in that we had to pay the full amount regardless. The hallways were poorly lit so we had to guess where the entrance of our room was. Also, everytime we went to eat at the buffett they were very adamant that we had to pay upfront if we wanted to be seated. They make us feel very incomfortable. If i wanted to have anything charged to the room we had to live a creditcard on file plus $1000.00 deposit. The buffett was about $50.0 USDollars and it's pretty limited. Once something is over from the buffett they will not replenish it and if one didn't get to eat it, well, thats' too bad, you still had to pay full price.

No Wi-Fi that was not acceptable in these modern age the room had no connection. Peaceful stay love the ground team , the pool , front security and some of the kitchen staff were all excellent some were not in the kitchen section but I will go back

My whole stay at the Starfish Tobago resort was just unacceptable. The accommodations was infested with ants and bugs. The food was very limited and unsanitary. The staff was very unprofessional with us. Management didn’t seem to be concerned with our problem and trying to make things right. In a whole my stay there was horrible. I will never recommend the Starfish Tobago resort to anyone.

The counter service at this hotel was nit good at all. I fond the hotel to be old and faded as well in the carpark there was dirty was dirty water running. Upon seeing the hotel and the surrounding area I found it to be unclean and not safe enough for my family and because of this I did not stay at the hotel and rebooked elsewhere. A refund was requested, and it was since denied.

Starfish was excellent in terms of pool area, overall staff service, the food was amazing. My only complaint would be that the rooms although clean are a little dated. All the rooms are sea-facing and have a convenient walk out option directly to the beach. The beach is open and offers unfiltered access to some magnificent sunsets and if you're lucky, you might just see a leather-back turtle come up to lay her eggs. Updated rooms would make this a 5-star stay.
