Location was fabulous, apart from the apartment was just above the pub garden which was busy all night so fairly loud. The food in the pub was really nice, staff was really nice and the apartment was very spacious

It was tidy, but lots of cobwebs and the walls were dirty

Bed wasn’t firm enough for my liking.

I arrived just after my notified check in time and asked at the bar about checking in as there was no obvious 'reception' desk. The friendly, welcoming, courteous staff quickly confirmed my booking completed the check in and showed me to my room. My room, in a converted 'stable' block directly off the car park, was spacious and clean and was very pleasant. Plenty of tea/coffee/sugar/milk was provided along with bottled water. Ample storage was provided by a wardrobe, bedside tables and a desk all fitted with drawers. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great with strong water pressure. The bed was comfy and the pillows were fine. I dined in the pub restaurant on my first night and although I hadn't booked and the place was very busy (always a good sign) a table was quickly found. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere was good. A very enjoyable experience and I would consider staying at The Coachman again. Thank you.

I want to stress that the following wasn't a problem for me. I knew what I was booking - a room attached to a pub close to a busy railway line. However, if you are a very light sleeper and/or go to bed early it may be something you might want to consider before booking.

Broken bed, but eas told not to expect super luxury bed. Was offered another room, but I replied too late to accept. Bed was broken, with one half of the two bases collapsed, but no attempt by manager to replace or fix during our 3 day stay

Comfortable room

Drunks waiting for taxis outside the room kept me awake.

As we were staying one night attending a party near by the accommodation met our needs. Having the pub on site was perfect. The lovely young man who checked us in and served us was very pleasant and happy to chat.

Basic but meets your needs for a short stay in the area.
