Thrumster House

The location is perfect for a NC500 trip. The house is old and charming. The dogs are very friendly and the grounds are beautiful and full of history. The host is helpful and accommodating. The opportunity to sit in a relaxed lounge in front of a real fire with a complimentary drink later in the evening is great. The breakfast is good and the whole experience is value for money.

The house is old and charming with some flaws.The room we had was accessed via another single unoccupied room. You could not lock the door of our bedroom but it did not feel unsafe. The sink was in the bedroom with the shower and toilet in the bathroom. There was a huge mirror that was on a downward angle and could not be used without holding it upright.

Breakfast was fabulous, served in a baronial dining room, hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Felt like we were staying with friends.

One largish pothole in the driveway!

Interesting building , very old which shows Would return again you accept it for what it is. Owners very good.

Property was tired,not clean,ie bottom sheet on bed had a black mark ,pillow case had small hole,curtains stained and couldn't be closed properly, door badley fitting,stains on ceiling and wall and furniture very dated.

A beautiful family home, a pleasure to be able to stay there. Catherine made us so welcome and couldn’t have done more to make our stay memorable

The house is full of character and charm. Perfectly located in its own grounds. Peaceful and relaxing.

Lovely big old fashioned house loads of character which added to the stay 2 lovely dogs well behaved Friendly host the breakfast room was well worth it !!!!
