The location is amazing. Right in the heart of things. They were awesome in connecting to get the keys and get us settled in. Super accommodating as we had a mid afternoon train to Porto, we asked for an extra hour to check out and it was no problem

It would have been really helpful if there was at least one luggage rack as there really isn’t anywhere to put your stuff.

A causa di rumori superiori ai 70 decibel nel mezzo della notte, abbiamo dovuto contattare il proprietario. In totale, abbiamo contattato il proprietario a 6 riprese in 48 ore. Nonostante le promesse ricevute, il problema non è mai stato risolto e durante le notti, dalle 21h di sera alle 4h-5h di mattina non è stato possibile dormire. Il problema è collegato a una panetteria che si trova al piano terra e che dispone di un generatore m/ventilatore posizionato sul tetto, accanto a un lucernario. Questo generatore si accende la sera e resta acceso praticamente tutta la notte, creando rumori assolutamente inaccettabili. Dormire è impossibile. La cosa è tanto più spiacevole visto che l’appartamento è molto bello, ampio e ben tenuto… ma se non si può dormire non vale nulla. Qui uno dei vari testi che abbiamo scritto per reclamare del problema: “Hello, It is 3.25 a.m. and we are writing to you now as sleep is impossible in view of the very loud noise and vibrations reverberating inside the flat. Even during our last night at your residence we unfortunately had to deal with significant noise, over 70 decibels until over 3 o'clock in the morning. Your promise that the noise would end at midnight was absolutely not honoured: it is now 3.30 a.m. and the noise is at its loudest. We think you are unaware of the intensity of the noise at this time of night (far greater than in the evening). This noise at night seriously disrupted our holiday in Porto. If we had known from the beginning that the problem could not be solved, we would have looked for another accommodation immediately.” Il proprietario ha risposto (citazione originale, senza modifiche): “As we explained, the sound comes from equipment linked to the bakery on the ground floor of the building – their machines are located on the rooftop, which is why it’s noticeable in the apartment when they don't turn it off like they were supposed to.[…] Also, as it involves equipment from a separate business in the building, it’s something that’s unfortunately out of our direct control. we hope you understand that we can’t take full responsibility for a noise issue coming from a source that’s not part of our property. The sound isn’t related to any equipment or device from the apartment itself” Ora, qualsiasi cosa il proprietario risponda a questa valutazione, vi assicuro che ho pubblicato le risposte ufficiali che ho ricevuto da parte sua. Consiglio vivamente di credere a quanto io ho scritto: Ciò potrebbe evitarvi bruttissime esperienze durante la vostra permanenza a Porto.

This location is PERFECT! Its center to all of what you’d want to see, it’s clean, fairly quiet. The parking was a plus. The views from the windows were spectacular! The amount of window light is also a plus during the daytime! Bed was comfy!

The shower was below par, but got the job done!

Too many floors and no elevator. Well located but not my favorite
