Central Jetty Motel

The location was quiet and convenient, close to the beach and to several supermarkets and takeaways. Reception staff were friendly and resolved the issues we brought to them.

An email threatening to cancel my booking because I hadn't confirmed, while travelling to the airport was not a good start. On arrival, there were no batteries in the airconditioning remote and the soap dispenser by the bathroom sink was not functional. (There was soap in the shower, so not catastrophic, just inconvenient). Although basic supplies for self-catering are supplied, there was no hot water in the kitchen sink, dishwashing liquid, or tea-towel. This meant we could not satisfactorily wash dishes between meals.

The room smelt musty, the peal and stick shower tiles were falling off, the bed was sagging in the middle, furniture was old and stained and the supplied shampoo was running and the provided milk was off and chunky

Room was not worth the money that we paid for. I have been in 8 motels so far and never was i charged $50.00 diposit for extra 2 pillows ,Room was not cleaned had only 1 towel between me and my husband so I had to go and ask for more towels. Kitchen was separate but to close to the toilet lighting was very poor in the kitchen had to open the toilet door for extra light. Floors were not clean,had extra blanket that hadn't been washed for months .Only thing we liked was the king size bed,fridge and how big the room was.

Very outdated and run down rooms, terrible value for money, we had a lower level family room and there was a party in the room above us that went all night until 5am, I got no sleep.

The room! Wasn't cleaned properly at all. Dirty glass in room, old everything. Walls not painted, bathroom not what you would expect for the price - old and shabby. Second room had a band aid stuck to the wall, dirty bed spread, dirty bathroom, fridge on outside not clean, strange spots on ceiling.
