Friendly welcome and convenient for our need

Excellent welcome.

The room was sizeable and clean as were the shared bathrooms. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. As I was travelling by public transport there are several options in the area. The only thing was maybe instructions should be left to navigate the TV system. Overall, for the price, good value for money

An old build which is a pub and hotel I stayed in the bedroom for 1 person Can’t really complain. Nice town literally 30 sec walk with many nice little small company shops. Railway 20 min walk

Great stay really comfortable

The room desperately needs a curtain for privacy. Its on the same level as the beer garden and although the glass is distorted you can still see people getting dressed. Apart from that, clean and roomy.

We didn’t actually stay: the room we were offered opened directly on to the beer garden, on one of the hottest days of the year, when the pub had a late license until 1am. No parking, and little guidance for what local options were didn’t help. I should have checked reviews more carefully - this was the wrong choice for us. Room was spacious, clean, and well equipped.

Only one member of staff was on duty although she did her best , the issue lies elsewhere. Only 2 parking spaces for the whole hotel/bar. Totally inadequate. Hotel.com have a high rating for this which is very difficult to understand.
