A Stay On The Brae

Great place quiet place, very clean and exactly how it is advertised. Graeme was a wonderful host and extremely welcoming. It is in a great location and so easy to get transport into town. Lovely trip and would definitely rebook!

Nothing, it was perfect.

The location was great, the centre of Edinburgh was so easily accessible by a 20 minite bus journey. The bed was very spacious and comfy. The bathroom was so incredibly spacious and clean. There was facilities to heat food and make hot water. The hosts instructions on how to get in were so clear and precise. The host was unbelievably helpful and friendly. We couldn't have asked for more from the host or the stay we had. We will definitely be returning!

Very nicely decorated and very clean. Really lovely host who was there to meet us and show us round. Bus stop right outside with very frequent buses.

Struttura vicina alla fermata bus, in 15 minuti è possibile arrivare in centro. Accogliente, ben arredata, con bagno spazioso. Perfetta per qualche giorno a Edimburgo. Host super gentile e premuroso.

Mi sarebbe piaciuto uno spazio leggermente più ampio per la colazione e più cura per quanto riguarda la pulizia.

Comfortable bed, good shower, communication, flexibility.

The annex has everything we needed a large comfortable bed, a large bathroom with a great bath and shower, independent heating for the bedroom to get us warmed up, useful breakfast area and some hanging space for clothes.lots of extras were provided including tea coffee hairdryer, hot hair tongs, some toiletries, washing up stuff etc and a few mini cakes on arrival. Graeme was very helpful sorting out and problems quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend.

La nostra esperienza purtroppo non è stata positiva. Fin dall’arrivo le cose non sono andate nel migliore dei modi. Siamo arrivati in anticipo rispetto all’orario di check-in e l’host è stato gentile nel permetterci di lasciare le valigie, informandoci che l’appartamento non era ancora pronto. Ci ha avvisato che la camera era già sistemata ma che il bagno doveva ancora essere pulito. Entrando, abbiamo notato che effettivamente il bagno era sporco: la vasca piena d’acqua sporca, capelli e residui vari per terra. Anche il pavimento della camera da letto era sporco, ma abbiamo pensato che avrebbero terminato le pulizie a breve. Abbiamo quindi lasciato i bagagli e siamo usciti per la giornata, evitando di utilizzare il bagno. Siamo rientrati in appartamento verso le nove di sera, convinti che nel frattempo fosse stato tutto sistemato. Con nostra grande sorpresa, però, abbiamo trovato la situazione praticamente identica: il bagno ancora sporco, la vasca ancora piena d’acqua, capelli e peli sul pavimento, e persino il tappeto della camera da letto sporco. L’unica cosa apparentemente in ordine era il letto, che sembrava rifatto. Abbiamo contattato subito l’host spiegando la situazione, anche perché dopo un’intera giornata fuori casa, tra spostamenti, mezzi pubblici e un volo aereo, volevamo semplicemente farci una doccia e riposare. L’host ci ha risposto dicendo che non capiva come fosse possibile e che la stanza risultava pulita, eccetto il bagno, invitandoci a togliere l’acqua e a utilizzare comunque la doccia. Naturalmente abbiamo rifiutato: era impensabile usare un bagno in quelle condizioni non causate da noi. E non costando per nulla poco non era nostro dovere farlo. Abbiamo quindi rinunciato a lavarci quella sera e ci siamo limitati a pulire il WC da soli per poterlo usare, con la promessa da parte dell’host che il giorno seguente sarebbe stato sistemato tutto.
