Very comfortable ,lovely bedding and towels . Nice outside seating in good weather. Big enough for what we needed and able to make coffee. Excellent location , 15 minutes to Edinburgh centre on the bus with bus stop outside the door and very frequent and choice of buses. Parking outside very easy . Graeme was very good host and provided very clear details and recommendations .

I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t He Stay at the Brae.

We were welcomed in such a friendly manner by the entire family! The small apt. Is attached to the family home but has its own entrance and well sound-proofed. It was nice to have the small kitchen area to collect some breakfast items as our days were filled with sight-seeing! There is an Asian take-away just across the road. The bus stop is just outside their home. In 20-25;minutes you are at the Royal Mile or Waverly Station. Graeme provided check-in details on “What’s App” as well as links for things to do and eating establishments.

The room is very clean, silent and confortable and the host, Graeme, is very kind and helpful. It is located in a quiet residential area, just in front the bus stop, with 3 lines connecting to the city center with a shirt bus ride. Bus number 7 reaches directly the harbour area, near Leith.

Curtains don't make it completely dark so at dawn a little light comes in

Graeme was a wonderful host. The bus that took you to the royal mile stopped just outside the house, it was a cheap way to get to the castle. There was a small grocery store across the road and a Chinese takeaway also.

Light & bright contemporary apartment that the welcoming hosts Graeme & Alex have clearly put a lot of thought into making a comfortable home from home in Edinburgh for their guests. Birdsong in the morning an extra plus! We liked the ease of access into the city centre by bus (real-time display on the bus stop) and local shops for provisions. Host recommendations for restaurants close by in Newington appreciated as was the ease of access by bus to the Royal Infirmary where one of us was visiting a family member.
