Horrible experience horrible area rude, condescending manager

The staff were nice and friendly.

Staff and room was excellent. The staff was helpful with parking which is tough in NYC. Would go back to stay next trip.

The room was very clean, which is liked a lot. The room is not big but it's good; good bed size, comfortable, clean towels and everything you need in the bathroom. The breakfast variety is decent, the people from the reception are nice. All-in-all, I have enjoyed my stay here.

we absolutely loved our stay! nice little walk to the subway, but dress warm because its windy on the way! dean was amazing to us! the entire staff was great! always super friendly and accommodating. if you need something, say something! they are there for you!

The room: The room with two beds was a good size and had nice high ceilings. It wasn’t very clean as we found condom wrappers by the bed and under the A/C unit. It takes several minutes to get hot water in the shower. The design of the room is fairly nice, but the lighting isn’t great so we found it hard to work in the hotel room (could not see well). The area: Super rough. You will be followed on the street. It is dark and dangerous- even for NY. Only auto body shops nearby. You will spend $$ for cars to get anywhere unless you want to Citibike. You are right by a power plant. But, you can see a bit of the water and NYC - which is a plus. The hotel: Under construction. Newly renovated room. But, a bit sloppy. We had painters tape still on the walls in our room. The ceiling in the hallway was pouring water, but the staff, despite our mentioning it, never put towels or a bucket underneath it. So, the new carpet will be ruined. The staff: Pleasant and kind. Noise: The area around the hotel is quiet. The construction workers for the hotel were right outside our hotel room door cutting drywall etc starting at 8am even on weekends. The noise wasn’t good. You can hear everything outside your door. Overall: Decent for the price. Once the hotel is done with construction and the area is cleaned up this could be a pretty nice stay.
