ONOMO Hotel Cape Town Foreshore

I loved the 8 days I stayed at this great new hotel. Location was perfect - easy walk to the V&A Waterfront and central business district, and also very close to stops for the red and blue line of the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. The breakfasts were excellent and service was always with a smile. The room was small, but I found it perfect for me. Nice to have filtered water from the tap and USB charging ports in the room. I'd definitely stay here if I'm ever in Cape Town again.

Very good hotel to go to when your in South Africa

Overall a very nice, recently updated property with contemporary rooms that appear typical size for South Africa in the price range. The room and hotel were very clean. The price we paid was quite reasonable. Two negatives. The "complementary airport shuttle" runs on a schedule that didn't work for our arrival OR departure flights so we paid $25 plus tip for transportation each way from the airport and back. The return trip was actually $36 because it was before 7:00 am (the first shuttle to the airport was at 10!!!). The only other minor issue was our room included free coffee which I tried to get in the lobby on the way out. The desk employee said refused to give us coffee in the lobby even though he knew we were on a floor that had the same coffee machine as the one in the lobby - strange.

I booked at the last minute for a one night stay. I checked in around 11PM and had no issues; the staff were friendly and helpful even though my reservation did not reflect as confirmed and paid on their end. The hotel room was great and perfect for a one night stay (as reflected on listing). Only issue was parking. We paid an additional R100 for street parking which is apparently rented from a neighbouring hotel, hence the fee.

Relatively fast check in. Helpful staff. We were unpleasantly surprised by the size of the room. I had stayed at the Signature Lux Waterfront the year before which had so much more room to move around. We consoled ourselves with the fact that we’ll be out most of the time. Using the App for service was amazing as I remember being able to request for an iron while out shopping and when we got back it was there waiting for us. Unfortunately though the WiFi calling through the App never worked. It was mostly great service except for one day where we asked for late room service (at 5pm) and we got back to a half cleaned room. It was generally a nice stay but those rooms are really only sufficient enough for one person. The toilet is literally next to the bed! Little privacy. I’ll definitely come back if traveling alone. Paying for parking at the hotel was a bit of a disappointment.

It was a beautiful little hotel in the financial district. It is off the beaten track for a tourist and you need to take a taxi or an Uber to and from the hotel.

Staff very friendly and always available, There are restaurant facilities but I did not use them other than for the continental breakfast( full English available). Rooms contemporary well decorated complimentary coffee available on all floors 24/7. Lacks a gym and pool but if you want that stay somewhere else

Room was very nice, clean, comfy bed. Ideally could do with a bit more space for storing clothes but there was just enough for one person for a weeks stay, Only real issue was the lack of a landline phone in the room for those that don't use mobiles. Hotel staff were all very helpful nice bar with good food.

Even though it is in the downtown of Cape Town, the hotel is only 3 star and their rooms are small with no phones to call the front desk. The hotel wanted us to download their hotel app through which they said we could call the front desk but it did not work at all and the app is not user friendly. They don’t have parking and we have pay for parking with only few slots available for customers. Not worth the money we paid for it.
