USWe loved the location, being right across the street from the beach! The pool was great, and I spent a decent amount of time on the screened in porch. The inside was spacious and the beds were really comfortable!
These are small things, but the master bath faucets (shower too) need a bit of tightening, and we weren’t sure how to turn on the cooktop’s downdraft—but everything else was great!

The property is very comfortable and convenient to pool and beach with children. Very clean and so quaint. The pool is great but had a few little places where the concrete was a little rough around the drain. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

USMy family and I stayed at this property and really enjoyed ourselves. I think our favorite parts of our stay were the screened in porch and the hassle free walk to the beach. Unfortunately one of our days got rained out but we felt safe and comfortable inside of the house.
ROThe staff is trying to accommodate your requests. For example I wanted a late checkout and I didn’t have to pay.
The entire “cottage” layout is strange, it’s basically a labyrinth. The bathrooms are very small, and the beds are extremely uncomfortable, with poor-quality mattresses. The rooms are also tiny and have a noticeable moldy smell. The air conditioning is low quality and unbelievably loud at night. To make matters worse, there’s a bar in the building next door, with flashing lights and music playing into the night.
My family of 5 chose a 2BR cottage on the second floor at Saltaire Cottages. We absolutely loved it; direct access to the beach, literal 10 more steps than the “ocean front” houses. Community pool was the perfect temperature and so clean. Property staff were onsite daily, but not too early or too late as to cause a disturbance. Laundry facilities onsite were a big plus so that we didn’t have to take pounds of sand home from the beach with us. Will recommend to our friends and family, and we would stay here again if we come back to OBX! Awesome little Gem, so glad we stayed!
