Lovely friendly place

Breakfast was reasonably good (although coffee very weak) and location was convenient for my work appointment.

I arrived to be told that I couldn't have the double room I'd booked because the previous occupant had 'decided to stay on', so I ended up with a single instead of a double room. No real apology or acknowledgement that this was a downgrade (single rather than the double bed I'd wanted, booked and paid for) - no suggestion that they might give me a discount because they'd preferred someone else's booking over mine. Not good practice. There were also no toiletries in the bathroom apart from one tiny bar of soap. I had no shampoo with me so could not wash my hair. Unusual nowadays.
