"I Paid for Queen Beds, Not Doubles"

For the cost, the hotel was acceptable but there was much room for improvement. The hotel and room did seem clean, no bugs, the staff were pleasant, and the room met our needs. The breakfast in the morning was mid. The drawbacks were: They (falsely) advertised and we paid extra for 2 queen beds; the beds were doubles, not queens. We only had 1 person per bed so it wasn't too big of a deal, but we've encountered this in the past and two people are a tough fit on a double bed. Also, the beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. We both slept pretty rough. In addition, the pool was not open, many of the machines in the fitness room were out of order, and there were people milling around by the exits and parking area. The night we stayed there was a lot of noise and rowdiness on our floor; I don't hold the hotel responsible for that, however, the walls are paper thin and you can hear every conversation going on. For the price, I feel like this hotel was at the lower end of the mid-level options in the area.
